    Myofascial Release

Fascia is the connective tissue network that surrounds and supports muscles, nerves, blood vessels and organs throughout the body.

Myofascial Release is a gentle, sustained, hands-on treatment that focuses on restrictions within this fascial system.

Unlike sports massage, it is typically performed without oils and does not rely on aggressive pressure. Instead, therapists use slow, sustained techniques to encourage fascial tissue to soften and adapt.

The goal is improved movement, reduced tension and greater comfort. This is perfect for injury prevention and rehabilitation, and a great way to reduce pain and spasm after exercise and strength work.

    Thai Massage

Our approach to traditional Thai massage is centred on restoring balance to both body and mind through an authentic, holistic treatment experience.

Drawing on the principles of traditional Thai medicine, we combine acupressure, assisted stretching, rhythmic movement, and mindful touch to encourage the free flow of energy along the body's energetic lines while releasing areas of physical tension and restriction.

Each treatment is tailored to your individual needs, recognising that physical discomfort is often closely linked with stress, fatigue, emotional wellbeing, and the body's natural energy balance. By integrating traditional techniques with a calm, intuitive approach, we aim to create a deeply restorative experience that not only improves flexibility and mobility but also promotes relaxation, mental clarity, and an overall sense of wellbeing.

Whether you are seeking relief from the demands of modern life, recovering from physical strain, or simply looking to reconnect with your body, every session is designed to leave you feeling lighter, more balanced, and renewed.

    Lymphatic Drainage

Lymphatic drainage is a specialised, gentle manual technique designed to facilitate lymphatic flow and assist the body's natural drainage processes.

MLD is commonly used to help manage swelling and tissue congestion following acute injury or surgery. The pressure from the swelling leads to pain which can significantly hamper rehab, and this technique is an excellent method to expedite post op outcomes, or to address tissue swelling.

Its light, precise application is very different from traditional massage techniques.

    Common conditions treated:

    • Ankle sprains

    • Post operative care on all orthopaedic surgeries.

    60 minutes - £65
    3 Sessions - £180

  • Pregnancy Massage

Pregnancy massage is specially adapted to treat specific aches and pains for expectant mothers.

Pregnancy massage can be carried out after the first trimester and can help with:

Aches and pain associated with pregnancy such as low back pain and pelvic pain. Mind and body relaxation. Reduction in anxiety. Improved sleep. Reducing foot and ankle swelling.

Pregnancy massage should always be carried out by a qualified practitioner and here at FitFRAME physiotherapy this will be with our Physiotherapist Emily Smith.

Emily is also specially trained in techniques to treat pregnancy related back and pelvic girdle pain and so this can also be discussed in your session.
