Introduction
As a physiotherapist and certified Pilates instructor ,Claire specialises in delivering rehabilitative Pilates to suit all ages. Pilates is a mix of strength and flexibility exercises that aims to improve your postural awareness and really focus on identifying and working your core stability system. Whether you have a particular area that you want to work on, are currently injured, or just want to work on general strength and flexibility, small groups allow Claire to tailor the classes to you. Each class is designed to work all of the key muscle groups, improve flexibility and leave you feeling great!

Pregnancy and Postnatal Pilates

For the pregnant client this class is designed to help ease the aches and pains that occur during pregnancy and to tone and strengthen your muscles ready for labour and beyond.
For the postnatal client this class is designed to help you recover from pregnancy and childbirth and regain your pre-pregnancy self. Babies are very welcome but please bring a blanket/mat and some toys for them.
Key aims of each class:
Increase awareness of your pelvic floor muscles
Strengthen your abdominal muscles and reduce any remaining Diastasis (tummy gap)
Ease any aches and pains resulting from your pregnancy and life as a new mum
Improve your postural awareness and balance
Focus on correct breathing techniques.

Beginner/Improver Pilates

As an experienced musculoskeletal Physiotherapist Claire is able to deliver a Pilates class that improves strength and flexibility of the whole body in a fun and friendly environment.

Performance Pilates for Runners

As a competitive runner and ex-International athlete and APPI Presenter for Performance Pilates for Runners Claire has a lot of expertise and knowledge to offer you in the Pilates class for runners. The class is aimed at all levels of runner.
Key aims of each class:
Improve running economy through postural awareness and better running form
Improve strength and flexibility in the key muscle groups used in running to get that PB you deserve
Prevent injury by resolving muscle imbalances
Improve your running form and technique
Improve your foot and ankle stability muscles to prevent sprains/strains
